Arrival & Main Lobby

The School’s main entrance and lobby will serve as the single point of entry for all visitors.

Visitors must report immediately to the Main Lobby to sign in and present photo identification to obtain a visitor’s pass. The visitor’s identification will be secured at the main desk in the lobby to ensure the visitor’s pass is returned. If the visitor forgot to bring identification the receptionist may request to hold the visitor’s car key/fob.

Provided that their access has not been restricted or denied, visitors attending school functions that are open to the public, such as parent-teacher organization meetings or public gatherings, are not required to sign in at the Main Office.

The visitor will remain in the main lobby until the person they have a scheduled meeting with is able to greet them in the lobby and escort the visitor to the location where the meeting is to take place. Teachers are not expected to discuss individual matters with visitors during class time.

Students and staff may not open doors for any person at any time. The student or staff will direct the person to the Main Lobby.

Classroom Observation

Parents or visitors who wish to observe a classroom while school is in session are required to arrange such visits in advance with the classroom teacher(s), with final approval by the Head of School, so that class disruption is kept to a minimum. Advanced arrangements can include an email, a mailed letter, or a phone call which notifies the school employee of the exact day and time you are requesting to visit.

School employees who are expecting a visitor must notify the receptionist staff ahead of the visit.
