Music

The music program at Eagle Hill is designed to stimulate an interest in and appreciation for music. By listening to musical pieces from a variety of genres, participating in sing-alongs, learning melodies on Orf instruments, practicing rhythms on African hand drums and other percussion instruments, and even playing and singing in a rock band – the students in music class become more familiar with this art form. Many students find that they possess a previously untapped talent for playing music, while others find their involvement in the drum and Orf groups as just fun, hands-on learning experiences. All students emerge from the music classes with an enhanced understanding of the elements and various styles of musical expression.
