Art

The art curriculum is designed to promote a positive visual learning atmosphere for each student. Our aim is to provide the means for releasing the inventive, intuitive and imaginative abilities of each child.

The program will facilitate students’ creative growth and artistic development in these areas:

• Comprehension of various art techniques
• Use of an inter-disciplinary approach facilitating connections amongst the other curriculum.
• The understanding of visual arts in relation to history and different cultures.

Drawing is an essential aspect of the art experience. Works of famous artists are studied and activities originate from the styles of those artists studied.

The art room is a safe haven for the students to express themselves with positive critiquing and encouragement.
