Welcome to Eagle Hill School!
The Eagle Hill School Parents Association (PA) is pleased to welcome new students and their families to our very special school and active parent community. We have prepared this section of the website to familiarize new families with our orientation programs to help make their child’s transition to Eagle Hill as easy as possible.
June New Parent Orientation and Coffee
An important new parent meeting, this orientation is held in June prior to a new student starting in the fall. Introductory remarks are presented by our Head of School, Director of Education, and PA Co-Presidents. The majority of the meeting is devoted to parent Q&A. Parents also receive an orientation packet, which is mailed to parents unable to attend.
New Family Welcoming Program
To help new families transition to EHS, each new family is matched with an existing EHS family. The student’s age, gender, town of residence and day/boarding status are considered when assigning a “buddy” family. Buddy families will contact new families during the summer prior to the start of school to answer any questions. New families are also provided with their buddy family’s contact information. Please feel free to contact them throughout the year with any questions you may have.
Late Summer Upper and Lower School Orientations
Held during the week before school begins, these orientations are for both new and returning EHS students, as well as their parents. The Upper and Lower School Orientations are held on separate days, usually in the morning, and last about one and a half hours. Students have a chance to meet their advisors, who then take them on a tour of the campus while their parents have a Q&A session with the Head of School, Director of Education, and Director of Admissions. Advisors will contact parents to set up individual meetings within the first few weeks of school.
