1977

James M. Dunn III lives in Levant ME, and works at Walmart. “Kim and I were married in 2006 and I became dad to four great kids. We have three dogs too. And no, living in Maine hasn’t turned me into a Red Sox fan.”

Eric Organski owns a neon sign manufacturing business in Statesboro GA and is happily bending glass. “When you plot out the patterns for the glass they are backwards, a mirror image of the word – dyslexia at its best!” His message about life’s journey: “It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.”

1978

Eric Akopiantz until recently was CEO of Digital Reach Inc., an IT services company based in Plano TX. Paranet Solutions acquired Digital Reach in late 2008.

Kenneth Akopiantz is an organic farmer on Lopez Island, WA.

Glenn Severin Barclay lives in Lakeside MT. He is a multi-engine instrument flight instructor and a test pilot. He has two sons, Forrest William Barclay, 13, and Severin Phoenix Barclay, 11. He is a Cub Scout Den Leader and pursues interests in aviation, photography, science, and history. “My boys and I explore Glacier National Park, we ski and snowboard a lot, soak in natural Hot Springs, watch a gazillion movies, and we fly a Piper Aztec.”

Jonathan Wallace lives in Guilford CT, is married to Cindy and has three children.

1979

Tim Abrams is co-owner of a sales & marketing company in Boulder CO called Access Marketing & Events. He’s a mountain biker, snow boarder, and squash player. He’d like to hear from Tim Green and Giles Provetto.

Kathleen (Hutchison) Powell dropped by in January. “I’m bartender/waitresss at Uncle Henry’s in Harrison NY. I have three pugs, a husband, and am very happy.” She was amazed at how the campus has changed.

1981

John Orr lives and works in New Haven. His hobbies include reading, needlepoint, drawing, and painting. He sold a painting last year.

Jane “Pebbles” (Odiseos) Purnell lives in San Anselmo CA, is married to Burr Purnell, and reports she’s taking a career break to be a full time mom to daughters Ellie, 5, and Gwen, 16 months.

1982

Jordan Alpert lives in Boston and has been with Williams Lea, currently in customer service, for six and a half years. He likes to ski and ride his bike, travel, and see movies.

Doug Jefferies lives in Washington DC and owns Results Gym there, with four locations.

Stephen Rothfeld lives in South Orange NJ and is a mail clerk at the United Jewish Communities, where he has worked for over 15 years.

1983

Tom “TJ” Mulkern has lived and worked in Allentown PA since 1988 and has been a Civil War Reenactor for 11 years with the 96th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry. He has worked for Sears for the past seven years, currently as a warehouse supervisor for the Appliance Distribution Center.

Alan K. Ritter lives in New York City and reports: “A few years back I got bit by the alternative energy bug. I drew up a plan for small scale solar/wind farm that provided enough income from energy to support a family. This then paid for my real goal of living as an artist without starving. So today it continues as I’m emailing a realtor in Vermont about buying land.”

Daniel Rosenbaum lives in Falls Church VA. He got married in 2007 and is a freelance photographer.

Steve Stern lives here on campus at Hardwick House. “I have been a teacher at Eagle Hill for the last 18 years. I enjoy my job very much and find it extremely rewarding to give back to the school. I coach three sports a year – soccer, hockey, and baseball. I also enjoy the Yankees and attended the final game at Yankee Stadium with John Porter. To all of my past students, as well all alumni I went to school with, please don’t hesitate to email me and let me know how you’re doing!”

1984

Danny Boll stopped by the alumni office with his wife LeAnne in May 2009. They live in North Carolina near Asheville. He introduced himself as a student who was here when Eagle Hill had an undefeated soccer team. “I got married to a wonderful wife. Am doing great – still playing soccer.” He also said Mr. Breakell acts the same but looks different.

Jon Davis lives in Yorktown NY with his wife Sloane and children Jesse and Chloe, ages 8 and 6. He works in pharmaceutical sales and marketing.

Michael Steen and wife Kate were expecting their first child in January 2008. They’re on their second tour in Taiwan, where Michael works for Nike and leads a team of Taiwan nationals and expats focused on product development for Nike basketball footwear. “We design, develop, and engineer products for some of the best hoop players in the league. This past year I helped build and engineer product for Lebron James and Kobe Bryant…in particular a revolutionary new technology called flywire.”

Deanna (Rogers) Stutler is married and lives in Valrico FL with her husband and two young children. She has kept in contact with David Schafran ’83. David and his wife stopped at Deanna’s in Florida en route to a cruise in March 2008 and went together to swim with the manatees in Crystal River.

1985

Andrew Brookman recently got married and moved from New York City to Greenwich. He is managing director of fixed income trading for Brill Securities. He enjoys playing golf, tennis, skiing, and is involved with the PASE nonprofit organization, which supports after school programs in New York City.

Evelyn Eidelman lives in Spain. "My husband Elias Benbunan and I have our own company and I am the CFO."

Rob Ittner lives in Aspen CO. “Love it – the best of the outdoors with all the activity of a big city. I have been opening restaurants for the last 15 years, first in Vermont, then here in Aspen. Last year I sold all but one to slow my life down. It has worked out great. I ski almost every day in the winter and bike almost every day in the summer. Raced against Lance Armstrong in a 12-hour mountain bike race this last summer – he won but it was fun anyway.”

Will Morton and his wife Rachael’s first child, a daughter named Avery, was born in April 2009. As owner-chef of Will Morton’s Rotisserie on Railroad Avenue in Greenwich, Will’s report is positive: “First restaurant, first child, first house!” They live in Darien.

Robin Ribak lives in Greenwich and has a new job with Abilis in Greenwich. She spends her downtime reading, exercising, and babysitting her niece and nephews.

1986

Peter Brookman is a sales manager for Automatic Date Processing. He lives in New York City with his wife Jill Saltzberg, whom he married in 2007. “I have been on the board of PASE (Partnership for After School Education) for a few years. PASE is the backbone of the after school community in New York. We support the leaders that make up the after school community and their programs, which impact hundreds of thousands of children.”

William Paul “Bill” Gunsalus lives in Greenfield MA with his wife Sue Haskins Gunsalus and their daughter Brooke, 8. He graduated UMass/Amherst and now works there.

Leslie Zaslower lives in Manhattan and is Nickelodeon Director of Casting. Last year she became a member of the Casting Society of America. Photography is one of her interests.

Christopher Zuckert lives in Sherman Oaks CA and is currently pursuing a career in acting. “I have had small roles in film and tv.”

1987

Sarah Hopkins lives in Arlington MA and is back in the classroom. “I’m back to my career wish of being in the classroom with kids. I work with preschoolers as well as afterschool kids – very busy but very rewarding. I would not trade it at all. My interests are spending time with family and friends and spending time taking pictures. I have four cameras. I think I don’t need any more!”

Brian Lavezzoli made a surprise visit to the Annual Reception in September of 2008 for a chance to see the Griffins.

Chris Miller is owner and operator of Chris’s Little Chicago (a popular hot dog stand) in Austin TX. He and his wife Erin Purdy have “two great dogs that we consider our children.” Message: “I thank Eagle Hill for giving me a direction in life and the ability to get there.”

Nicole McNulty lives in Richmond VA and currently works at The Faison School – Autism Center of Virginia.

1988

Rebecca (Feinstein) Bixon lives in Hamden CT with her husband Jeremy and their toddler David.

Jonathan Major lives in Boulder CO and is a student of classical five element acupuncture & a yoga practitioner. “I also teach cooking and yoga in my home to small groups, where we bring consciousness to each movement and meal we make.” For sports and activities, Jon is currently skiing, practicing yoga, and next year hopes to volunteer at a halfway house teaching cooking. His recent accomplishments are starting to treat clients at a community clinic with the medicine of classical five element acupuncture, and beginning a new relationship.

Adam Potash is a special education teacher in San Rafael CA. “Attending Eagle Hill helped me get in touch with who I am, helping me build my self-esteem and personal discipline so that I could be successful. I am now passing that on to my students out here.”

1990

George Gribbon is an executive chef living in Boca Raton FL. His only interests are his wife Jessica and their two beautiful children, Skyler and Van, ages 5 and 2.

1991

Karen Aronson works in real estate in New York City. She would love to hear from former EHS friends and classmates. [Editor’s note: The Alumni Gazette in 2008 mistakenly reported that Karen is married. We apologize for the error.]

John Shaul has his own landscaping business in Westchester County NY.

1992

Brad Germin wrote in July 2009 to report that he is heading for b-school at Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management.

Paul “Pablo” Janis is married and lives in Framingham MA. “I work for the Town of Framingham Parks & Recreation and also test games for http://stores.ebay.com/eGameUniverse.com. It’s COOL!!!!”

Ariel Weiner lives in Rye NY, works in sales, and regularly volunteers for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. She participated in a triathlon.

1993

Lyane (Jones-Overton) Foreman lives in Decatur GA, is married to Michael Foreman, and has two children, Kayla, 12, and Michael, 7. She works as a molecular lab assistant in the area of genetic disorders.

Rich Varadian lives in Stamford CT, is pursuing his bachelors degree in history at UConn Stamford, and is working in the UConn library.

1994

Amy Kraus has had a big year: She graduated with a master’s in social work from Simmons College in Boston MA and married Boban Stozinic. They live in Bedford Hills NY, and she works as a social worker in a juvenile justice program in New Rochelle NY. She is still playing field hockey in an adult league in NYC.

1995

Christiaan Enthoven worked in the film industry for two years after college. After taking pre-med courses at Purchase College/SUNY (Purchase NY), he has been accepted at the University of Colorado in Denver to get a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. He is engaged to Kate, his girlfriend of eight years, and will be married next year. While living in Greenwich, Christiaan played ice hockey both as a volunteer at Eagle Hill and also on an adult team in Stamford.

Tricia Malone lives in Peekskill NY and has been employed as a daycare worker at the Country Children’s Center since it opened in nearby Yorktown in 2001, providing on-site daycare for the IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center there.

Jessica Weiss lives in Rockville Centre on Long Island NY and works at Whole Foods.

1996

Sarah Franklin lives in New York City and is a first and second grade teacher and camp director. “For the last year and a half I have been working on starting a summer camp at the school I work at. I have done everything from the marketing and financial plan, to camper registration, hiring the staff, and creating the program for the campers. In June 2009 the camp will officially begin and I am excited to see all my hard work pay off and for the children to enjoy it!

Nevin Steiner works at ESPN in Bristol CT in the digital media department as a manager of video content for dot.com and mobile.

Jason Theriot lives in Norwalk and works for Motorola in business development.

1997

Jaime Sol Black, based in California, is a singer/songwriter with his own rockabilly/folk/punk band. Check out www.jaimesolblack.com.

Jonathan Brown lives in Lafayette CA and is an IT technician for Urban Bay Properties in San Francisco.

Rachel Fehr will graduate in Spring 2009 from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville NY with a master’s degree in general education, certified to teach Pre-K – 6th grade. She plans to pursue special education and theater certifications as well. Her message: “Our society is difficult, so take every wonderful tool that EHS gives you and implement that new knowledge into your everyday life. There are no weird, stupid, or unworthy people – instead, we are all unique.”

Joanna Glickberg lives in Manhattan and is finishing up her last year of grad school at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville NY. “I will be completing my M.S in Education this May. I have been very busy with student teaching this year.”

Ryan Lifton lives in Roslyn Heights on Long Island NY. He works at an auto body shop but hopes to open his own plumbing business. “No time for sports anymore – I miss playing lacrosse, ice hockey, and baseball. I hike a lot, work a lot, and go out with friends. I’d like to get into contact with people I knew at EHS.”

Eric Raskin graduated from Hofstra University in 2005 and now works as an energy broker. For fun he plays in an indoor men's hockey game two times a week and has also taken up golf.

Jan Schnur lives in Forest Hills NY and is attending New York College of Health Profession for Massage Theropy.

Meaghan Stockel lives in North Salem NY and works at Carquest Auto Parts in Armonk. “I am in the accounts payable department and enjoy what I do. I also play on a coed soccer league.”

1998

Emma Gave lives in Brooklyn and likes computers, shopping, and being with friends. Last year’s greatest accomplishment was “traveling on my own to places.”

Andrew Hofstetter is working on becoming a financial analyst in New York City.

David Kaplan lives in Hartsdale NY and works as a buffet attendant at a catering facility serving corporate clients, as well as weddings and special events. He also works as a per diem cook.

Hayley Richards lives in Scarsdale NY and is currently a nursery school aide five days a week in her local parish elementary school and loves it. She keeps up with Jessica Levitt ’96, who has a similar job in Manhattan. They get together socially in New York.

Billy Romano lives in New Jersey and is a graphic designer for McFarlane Industries. “I graduated Curry College in 2005 and graduated Gibbs College in visual communications in 2008. I still play roller hockey, ice hockey, and snowboards every chance I get!”

Nick Zackrison lives in Cicero NY and graduated last year from Utica College (Utica NY) with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He will marry Lydia Farley in October 2009.

1999

Justin Harrison was appointed to the Eagle Hill faculty in 2008-2009 as a permanent substitute teacher. “It is a dream come true to be working alongside some of the world’s best teachers, many of whom taught me during my seven years as a student here. In my spare time I enjoy reading, music, exercise, and writing stories. I also enjoy spending time with many of the friends I made at Manhattanville College. I am still in touch with EHS classmate Juhnun Oh ’99.”

Stephen Klenert lives in Montclair NJ and is CEO and co-founder of Atlantic Metro Communications, www.atlanticmetro.net. The company has grown so much that it recently moved its offices from New York City to New Jersey to support more staff. Stephen enjoys skiing and sailing.

Alexandra Lewis and fellow classmate Joanna Glickberg are co-administrators of an Eagle Hill School Facebook group. “We look forward to comments, shout-outs, and any other conversation you may have for the group, and its ever-multiplying members!”

David Rocco went to Boston College after Greenwich High School and graduated in 2006. Currently David is an on-air personality at 92.3 NOW FM in New York and is creative and programming manager for Westwood One Radio Network. He has worked at Atlantic Records, Epic Records, and MTV Networks, and also has a freelance creative company that works with many major record labels.

Sean Zackrison is enjoying the theater program at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury CT. He played Oberon in “Midsummer Night’s Dream” in the summer of 2008 and Cliff Bradshaw in “Cabaret” in the fall. At WCSU he was chosen to compete in a Kennedy Center acting competition this winter.

2001

Justin Abrams is a transfer student at Berkshire Community College in Pittsfield MA, and likes it very much. “I am changing my major next semester from culinary arts to environmentalism, physical fitness, or nutrition. I successfully completed an internship in Colorado in March 2008 that changed my life forever in a philosophical way. I am a deeper person now, in terms of consciousnesses and sense of self. As for sports, the college does not have any varsity or college sports, but I do a lot of sports on my own, such as mountain biking, running, skiing, hiking, and pretty much anything that is outside.”

Liz Edwards lives in Somerville MA and is in her final year of college. No clubs or sports or activities, but she walks four miles a day. “I love to take pictures with my camera and make movies on my Mac in iMove. Last year I had my first paying job. I’ll be my sister’s maid of honor at her wedding in October.”

Isabel Lacy will graduate from Lynn University in May 2009.

Jean-Michael Mathurin is a junior at Mitchell College (New London CT). “I played football all through high school and could have played for UNC but messed up knee. Now I run the football club at my college and play rugby.”

Hilary Rubin was on the EHS campus during the summer of 2009 working in the Summer Program. Other EHS alumni employed in the Summer Program were Anthony Chammah ’07, Taylor Sites ’04, and Wyatt Uhlein ’02. In college Hilary is majoring in psychology and is aiming for a career that combines occupational therapy and special education.

Everett Smith is in his second year at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware OH.

2002

Gina Bonfiglio graduated from Becker College in Worcester MA last year with an associate’s degree in animal care. She has begun a new career as dog groomer and is also making progress with her modeling career. Gina celebrated her 21st birthday at Mohegan Sun with best friend and former EHS roommate Megan Pirron ’02.

Ryan deRegt has moved to Montecito CA and attends Santa Barbara Community College. He enjoys basketball, volleyball, and music.

Kyle Kim-E lives in Irvine CA and attends Northwood High School. He is captain of both the water polo and swim teams and practices every day of the week. “It’s been strenuous but worth it – I was selected for 1st Team All Sea-View League and the All-City Water Polo Team. I hope to be recruited by UCLA, UCSD, or Brown in my upcoming senior year. Volunteering and teaching kids during the summer has been a great experience. I love teaching kids who share the same passion I do for swimming and water polo. As for the future, I’m planning on playing D1 water polo in college and planning on majoring in Marketing/Advertising.”

Sam Nadell is a senior at The Harvey School in Katonah NY and has been accepted to college. At Harvey he is involved with the performing arts department and the global green environmental program.

Megan Pirron lives in Wilton CT and writesI am still attending Norwalk Community College (Norwalk CT) and majoring in fine arts with a concentration in photo journalism. I currently work as a graphic designer making wedding invitations. I volunteered with the Global Volunteer Network in summer of 2008 at a camp in Fairbanks AK for kids ages 4-11. The camp teaches kids to respect their environment. The experience taught me a lot about myself and inspired me. My future plans are Habitat for Humanity and volunteering to teach English to kids in Romania! Last September an art school I am applying to in New York City gave me tickets to view their student show at Fashion Week, which was pretty neat. In my free time I like to hang out with my friends, which include Eagle Hill grads Heather Braxton ‘03, Gina Bonfiglio ’02, and Lindsay Ginott ‘02.

Spencer Rubin reports he’s “still busy making and producing movies while about to graduate from Norwalk (CT) Community College with a major in Film and Television Production.”

Molly Stanger is at Brehm Preparatory School in Carbondale IL. “This is my last year of high school. I will start college in June. I do horseback riding once a week and yoga twice a week.”

2003

Emily Brettauer lives in Los Angeles CA and is a freshman at Chapman University in Orange CA.

Sarah Louise Harris lives in Pound Ridge NY and attends Westfield Day School in Rye NY. “I was diagnosed with epilepsy the year I left Eagle Hill. I have had four brain surgeries and now I have fewer seizures. I am raising awareness and money for the study of epilepsy. I love writing and am currently writing a book of my life and how I live everyday with epilepsy.”

Ian Hochman-Reid is in his third year at University of Vermont in Burlington VT. “I have done a lot of work with the college Democrats at UVM. I did some work for the Obama campaign and worked for Kesha Ram campaign for the Vermont State house.”

Liz Lipari is a student at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison NJ, majoring in communications, with a minor in creative writing. “I got my first ‘A’ in college and had an overall successful first two years. I enjoy writing, participating in activities, in Italian-American club, taking the train to Manhattan; love all movies and still crazy about music! Eagle Hill was a place where I could feel comfortable and understand myself so I could be a successful learner.”

Jordan Posner is a freshman at Keene State College in Keene NH. He is a political science major with a possible minor in American studies. He is a member of the ecology club, genocide awareness, and Keene State Democrats. He worked on the Obama campaign as well as the Jeanne Shaheen campaign for senate in New Hampshire.

Allison West is in her second year at Mitchell College in New London CT. “I am getting my degree in education. I am in the early childhood club, am part of student activities, and am on the sailing team.”

Eric “Smitty” Smith lives in Cos Cob (CT) and has graduated from Allstate Trucking School in Shelton CT. Within the last year he obtained his Commercial Driver’s License class B truck drivers license with tanker endorsement.

2004

Andrew Alexandre is living in Winter Park FL. “I have started my own company, Chrome Entertainment & Ventures. We deal with artist management, booking, security detail, and everything else ‘entertainment.’ I am also in the process of opening a night club in central New Jersey.” He reports that his biggest accomplishment last year was “living on my own over 1,000 miles from home” in NJ.

Walker Brady lives in Riverside and attends Greenwich High School. “I am captain of the JV hockey team and plan to play lax.”

John Henderson is a senior at Bronxville (NY) High School, where he is captain and t-shirt designer of the boys’ cross country team. He is also assistant scoutmaster in the Boy Scouts and is a part-time teacher’s aide in an elementary Special Education classes. “I love playing the guitar (I own two – both Fender) and writing my own songs. I also love seeing my friends from EHS, especially Brian Hunt ‘05 and Matthew Cole ‘09. At the time John wrote us, he was waiting to hear from colleges – he had been accepted to Landmark College and was still waiting to hear from Mitchell College.

Willie Kaiser stopped by the EHS alumni office with Steve Stern on the day he learned he has been accepted to Adelphi University (Garden City NY on Long Island). He was wearing a new Adelphi sweatshirt.

Devin Mehra plays soccer, basketball, and tennis for Brunswick School in Greenwich and was also in their production of “The Hobbit” last fall. “This year I made the Brunswick varsity basketball team as a sophomore. This was a great achievement for me as it was my goal to make the team all year. I also made the headmaster’s list for the first marking period.”

Colt Morton is a student at Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah GA.

Julie Raysman graduated from Eagle Hill Hardwick in Hardwick MA last spring and is a student at Cazenovia College in upstate New York. “I will be majoring in visual communications to become a photojournalist and better the world by ending hunger and poverty with my photos.” Message: “Try hard and you will get far in your life.”

Taylor Sites has finished her first year at Duke University in Durham NC, studying philosophy and literature as a double major, with an Italian language minor. “I’m a rock climber, an Ultimate Frisbee player, and an avid reader!” She was back on the EHS campus working in the 2009 Summer Program.

Jared Wynn lives in Scarsdale NY and has found a new job since last year. When not working at Stop and Shop, he enjoys computers, walking, and hanging out with friends. “I may go back to college for a bachelor’s degree.”

Thomas Zagroba graduated from Iona Prep in New Rochelle NY last year and entered Concordia College in Bronxville NY. I played basketball for Iona Prep Varsity B, which was City Champion in 2008.

2005

Cristina Carr, a senior at Greenwich High School, says her greatest accomplishment last year was making the Thespian Troupe. Classes at GHS included psychology, creative writing, short fiction, sociology, and American Sign Language. Message: “If it weren’t for Eagle Hill, I’d still be struggling in school. Everything that I learned at EHS, such as study techniques and homework strategies, I still use to this day. Eagle Hill is also where I met my best friend, and where for the first time I had my own group of friends.”

Benjamin Cumming lives in Saratoga Springs NY and attends Saratoga Springs High School. “I play soccer and lacrosse. I also play the guitar and like the outdoors.”

Alec Giusti played varsity basketball all four years at La Jolla High School in La Jolla CA and will attend University of Redlands and play basketball there. Alec also ran cross country and played baseball his freshman through junior years, winning three baseball championships. “My greatest accomplishment was being recruited to play basketball in college.”

Melissa Lundquist is in her senior year at Eagle Hill Hardwick in Hardwick MA. Some of her activities at school are soccer, basketball, zookeepers club, horticulture club, adopt-a-grandparent, and peer mentoring.

Jack Miles is in 8th grade at Brehm Preparatory School in Carbondale IL. “I made the Freshman basketball team the first week I arrived at school.” Other interests are soccer, U.S. history, paintball, and video games.

Colin Peake moved the summer of 2008 from Greenwich to Exeter NH. “I have made many new friends and am making money with many jobs up here. It’s great because you make friends from different groups like work, school, sports and other things. I go to Exeter High School and will be graduating in 2010. I am still playing ice hockey but I am rowing now too. I rowed with the Greenwich Water Club and now with Great Bay Rowing in Durham out of UNH’s boat house. As for music I have joined a pipe band in Greenwich. I can say that being a drummer for a pipe band is something I will do for the rest of my life. I am also still playing bass.”

Alex Revson, a senior at The Forman School in Litchfield CT, has created a recycling program called “A Sporting Chance.” He collects and cleans used sports equipment and donates it to the Port Chester Carver Center in Port Chester NY. A fellow Forman classmate will continue the program after Alex graduates, and Alex himself intends to remain involved during his college years.

2006

Bobby Baldanza is a freshman at Harrison (NY) High School and plays JV football and hockey there. He is enjoying his high school experience and feels he was well prepared to succeed there.

Max Bowman is a student at The Forman School in Litchfield CT and says hello to everyone at EHS.

Corey Gelbstein is a junior at The Forman School in Litchfield CT, where he is still playing varsity soccer, basketball, and lacrosse. “I went to the all star lacrosse game sophomore year and in summer 2008 was named MVP of an elite Lax camp.” Corey also won the Spanish award last year.

Julia Karnani is a student at The Forman School in Litchfield CT. “I play soccer in the fall, basketball in the summer, and tennis in the winter. I like to do art and am taking a ceramics class.”

Olivia-Grey “O.G.” Marcontell is at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua NY and is involved in “animation, karate, dance, music, singing, and bringing more awareness to Out of the Darkness club, a club to help stop teen suicide. I am receiving good feedback from the colleges I am applying for, and I am told by them that I have a high chance of getting in.”

Hanna Merrill is a student at The Forman School in Litchfield CT, and was named captain of the swim team last November. Message: “Without EHS there is no question I would still be struggling. I now truly believe every child can learn.”

Jimmy Montanari is a senior at Landmark High School in Prides Crossing MA, where he is on the varsity swim team and cross country team. Accomplishments last year included becoming an Eagle Scout and climbing Mount Washington and Mount Katahdin.

Leslie Ott will graduate from Cushing Academy in Ashburnham MA in the spring of 2009 and has received early acceptance into Syracuse University in Syracuse NY. She will enter the School of Education’s inclusive elementary special education program for the class of 2013.

Asa Sapse has been high honors every year at Marvelwood School in Kent CT. He has not received any grades below an A and was awarded the Bodkin Scholarship.

2007

Maggie Evans is in her second year at School of the Holy Child in Rye NY. “I love it – all of the people are just so welcoming and friendly. My study skills have improved so much since I started at Eagle Hill. I am now able to study for tests easily and am able to understand what I need to know for tests.” Maggie continues sports she first tried at EHS, like ice hockey, field hockey, and cheerleading.

Matt Grinnell is a junior at Eagle Hill Hardwick in Hardwick MA, where he is on the honor roll and plays varsity soccer (starting right defense) and varsity basketball (starting center). “In the summer of 2008 I went with eight friends and two teachers to Mexico on a 28-day community service trip into many different slums and poverty stricken areas. We painted three schools, taught English, helped plant crops, and fed a full meal to over 2,000 people at a food brigade. We also handed out bags of corn, beans, rice, pasta, animal crackers, and some salt to each family at the food brigade.”

Peter Machinist is a student at Community High School in Teaneck NJ. “I get mostly A’s and was on the honor roll two times in a row last year.”

Sam Paris loves Thornton Donovan School in New Rochelle NY and told Mrs. Connolly he is grateful to EHS for preparing him so well.

Kristen Romney is a sophomore at Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua NY. “I am on the winter track team. I also work at NCCTV (New Castle Community Television) as an intern. It is a public access TV station that is conveniently located in the back room of the library at Greeley. I work there for experience in TV broadcasting, which I enjoy. My weekends are fuller this year. I see my friends from school on the weekends much more consistently.”

Julie Silverstein is a student at Winston Prep in Norwalk CT.

2008

Nick Ambrogio reported in from Greenwich High School, where he has a 3.3 GPA and is on the freshman baseball team.

Emily Apple is at Eagle Hill Hardwick in Hardwick MA and writes: “I have accomplished many things since I left Eagle Hill. For example, I can self advocate much more, and living away from home is much easier for me. Plus, my social life has increased.” For sports, she does aerobics and plays tennis, “but mainly I play basketball.”

Emily Aronica was at Winston Prep in New York City last year and is excited to be transferring to Eagle Hill Hardwick in the fall of 2009. She returned to EHS for Family Fun Day last October to see everyone, especially the dorm staff.

Skylar Jayes plays field hockey and lacrosse at School of the Holy Child in Rye NY. “I am on a travel ice hockey team outside of school. I’m on the student council and having a great time with all of them.”

Avrielle Miller writes: “I go to Winston Prep in New York City, with Julia, Joanna, and Emily. It’s really fun and I love it especially when you get to go out for lunch whenever you want. I know a lot of friends and I enjoy my school so far. Some of the kids are kind of weird, not like I’m used to. I still miss everyone at EHS.”

Peter Newmark is a student at Central Middle School in Greenwich. He swims on a local swim team, is a trumpet player, a tennis player, and has a passion for anything with an Apple logo. Noted accomplishments are getting on the honor roll the first year in middle school, and moving up a level on swim team.
