The summer program at Eagle Hill School, Greenwich, is designed for children experiencing academic difficulty. Open to boys and girls ages 6-12, the Summer Program immerses youngsters in a total language environment specifically tailored to meet his or her needs.
The heart of the Summer Program is an intense schedule of academic instruction based on diagnosed needs. Each student will receive a language arts tutorial each day, as well as four additional classes in related subject areas.
The staff of the Summer Program will consist primarily of members of the Eagle Hill School, Greenwich faculty. Tuition for the program is $2,600.
Five academic classes including a combination of the following will be offered each day:
Reading Tutorial
Mathematics
Handwriting
Spelling
Writing Workshop
Oral Language
Literature
Study Skills
The Summer Program will start on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Classes are held Monday through Friday from 8 until 12 noon, and students will be dismissed before lunch. This schedule offers ample time for recreation in the afternoon at the students' own neighborhood facilities or new this year; students may stay for the Summer Activities Extended Program.
