The 2012 Summer Activities Extended Program

The Summer Extended Day Program at Eagle Hill School, Greenwich, provides Summer Program students the opportunity to continue their day by participating in outdoor and indoor camp activities.
Open to boys and girls, ages 6-12, who are registered in the morning Summer Program, the Extended Day Program immerses young boys and girls in a fun and energetic midday program where group work, social skills, and fair play will be emphasized and reinforced. Students will be encouraged to take risks and actively participate in a variety of group activities while fostering positive relationship with both staff and peers.
The Summer Extended Day Program will start on Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Classes are held Monday through Friday from 12 until 3 p.m. The staff of the Summer Extended Day Program will consist primarily of members of the Eagle Hill School faculty and staff. Tuition for the program is $1,550.
A sampling of the daily program will include:
- 12-12:40 – Lunch*
- 12:45-12:55 – Lunch Recess
- 1-1:50 – Activities Time
- 1:55-2:05 – Snack Break
- 2:10-2:55 – Activities Time
- 3pm – Dismissal
Activities will include:
- Arts & Crafts
- Cooking
- Legos/ Board Games
- Imaginary Play
- Computer Activities
- Music
- Outdoor Games (kickball, flag football, softball, etc.)
- Indoor Games (basketball, mat ball, floor hockey, soccer, etc.)
- Field trips (Police Station, Nature Centers, horseback riding)
- Weekly beach trips
- Problem-solving and social skills will be interwoven into all activities
*Campers will need to bring their own lunch. Water & juice is provided.
