Eagle Hill Diagnostic Clinic.
The Clinic specializes in the neuropsychological and learning consultation and evaluation of children, adolescents, and young adults. The Clinic is organized around some basic tenets:
--To provide comprehensive, empirically-based and state of the art services in a "child and parent friendly" atmosphere,
--To provide results and reports in a time-sensitive manner that assist healthcare providers, teachers, and parents in the remediation/rehabilitation of the issues at hand,
-- To collaborate with other providers in designing optimal treatment and educational plans for your child.
There are five doctors at the clinic. After the initial interview, a doctor will be selected with the right expertise to assess your child’s condition. All doctors at the clinic have expertise in learning and attentional disorders (e.g., dyslexia, ADHD), while some doctors have particular expertise in developmental syndromes (e.g., autism; Asperger’s Syndrome), neurological conditions (i.e., Tourette’s Syndrome, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injury), medical conditions (i.e., Lyme disease, childhood cancers, pain), and specific psychiatric disorders (i.e., OCD, eating disorders, depression, psychosis).
The backgrounds of the staff are quite varied, but all hold doctorates and are affiliated in some capacity with Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. Several of the staff have lectured regionally and nationally on diverse topics in pediatric psychopathology, development, and special education.
