THE SCHOOL
Eagle Hill School, founded in 1975, provides individualized, intensive, remedial programs to capable children diagnosed with learning disabilities. The mission of the school is to help students develop academic skills, learning strategies, and self-advocacy skills in preparation for their return to a more traditional learning environment.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
No specific single remedial technique is followed exclusively at Eagle Hill. Rather, each child's educational program draws from as many different approaches as needs demand. Classes are ungraded; children learn and advance at their own pace. Children have a daily language arts tutorial as the core of their instructional program. Math, writing, literature, science, history, and study skills are also included in a student's schedule. Classes are 40 minutes and students change class for each subject.
